Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new record for the most goals scored in a single Saudi Pro League season by scoring his 34th and 35th goals in Al Nassr's last game of the season.

After the game, the 39-year-old Portuguese star tweeted, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me,” showing his confidence and ongoing success in breaking records.

Ronaldo, who used to play for Real Madrid and Manchester United, scored his first goal in stoppage time at the end of the first half. His second goal was a header in the 69th minute, helping Al Nassr win 4-2 against Al Ittihad at their home stadium on Monday.

Before Ronaldo, the record for the most goals in a season was held by Moroccan player Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-19 season. Ronaldo's achievement surpasses this, highlighting his exceptional talent and consistency.

Despite this win, Al Nassr had already secured second place in the league, finishing 14 points behind the champions, Al Hilal.
