Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan Achieve Record for Most Successful T20 Pair with 24 Fifty Partnerships

"historic T20 milestone"

Pakistan’s batting duo, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have etched their names in T20 cricket history by becoming the most accomplished pair. Surpassing the previous record of 23 held by Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli, they now boast an impressive tally of 24 partnerships where they have notched up fifty or more runs together.

Their partnership transcends mere fifties, boasting an impressive 10-century stand for Pakistan. For 65 innings, Babar and Rizwan have amassed a total of 3,227 runs, eclipsing the 3,175 runs scored by Kohli and AB de Villiers.

This feat catapults them to the forefront on the international stage, overshadowing Ireland’s Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling, who managed 2,047 runs in 73 innings.

Representing the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), both players further solidified their formidable partnership. In comparison, India’s Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul occupy the third position with 1,897 runs in 42 innings, underscoring the dominance of Babar and Rizwan in the T20 format.
